The Truth Is

 
        
    so what if I told you,
    the absolute truth;
    why I find one's self in yet,
    another unsatisfying written page;


     the truth is, I've been told,
     not to settle for less;
     all the while, that's all I've ever known;
     and I guess one would suggest,
    

       that I've never truly grown;
       why I often find myself painfully alone;
       just maybe, just maybe the truth is,
       I'm not built for this universe they call home....
