the attitude remains
much the same
on the outside

has undergone
a profound change

when life

all the successes
has put me in a corner

way out
 
trouble is
it is
the surrounds
that i've grown
too fond of
to even think  
about touching them
 
again
it is then
a question
of
deliverance vs severance
 
severance  
is the need of the hour
yet
deliverance is the demand
of the heart  
and soul
 
sometimes  
in life
the most fragile  
the most vulnerable  
the most precious
of the bonds  
are the strongest
 
their fragility
their strength
 
and tell you what
am too weak  
facing
that strength
 
hence
the compromise
