I'm sorry to hear if someone actually stole your work and tried to pass it off as their own.I hope no one poet or poetess ever has that happen to them..heart wrenching .

That makes me wonder if its ever happened to me and I just don't know it.

This site is used by professor's to check students work but it also comes in handy for finding your work out there. I can tell you that many of our poems are used for classroom assingments as examples in presentations which is fine and the author is always mentioned but then there is the scum who have no creative and use others work as means of stalking or preying on others.

thank you dearest Tim unfortunately Taryn & I found especially with my poems say from 2011 they didn't show on the plagiarism check & he had stole those as well posting them as his own in 2017..

The craziest thing with this Tim, was through their own app there is a menu option for “Plagiarism Check” and unfortunately, it seems that when the title is included, in some cases, they don’t show up. I also noticed if the write is older it takes longer to find within the pages generated by the checker. I suppose if one goes to the checker themselves and just enters the first few lines it may generate correctly, I’m not sure as I’ve yet to try the link you’ve generously provided (thank you btw 😊) - I will check it out!

i wrote one a while ago for my own personal plagiarist (who not only steals but butchers my poems) who is still happily at it.
a lot of the time, its not only the act of stealing but the laying claim of experiences, of pain, of lust, of addiction... that someone can pervert our emotional bleeding for a few likes & comments from strangers. it's a pitiful thing. & the fact that there's little to no legal recourse is incredibly frustrating.
you did a stellar job writing this one, highly emotive & filled with righteous anger.

Few things piss me off more than this!! Sadly I understand exactly how you feel
becuz I've been made aware MY ink was stolen a number of times! N I won't be surprised to learn it's still happening...
I have however taken the advice of my bro. Who said, "if ever they are tasked
with proving they write what they claim?
It's likely they'd expose their deceit by failing to produce a like voice in a new piece, whereas I'd be able to prove I'm
the creator by being able to write in the exact same voice n style that is uniquely me.
