Washing out sunny times
The irreversible memory-making motor of life
Time makes you forget the echoes of familiar friendly laughter
The hopes and promises held in a stranger's smile
Time is the test of fire
That makes ashes of joyous seasons
And leaves in its stead
Shadows of erstwhile bliss
