Still Standing
It’s been brutal the past two and half years.
Leaving home, my home…
It wasn’t easy and I don’t regret it.
So much growth I have seen in myself.
From who I was to who I am now.
The most growth has happened in these past seven months.
New places…
New people…
So many new adventures.
I have lost friends and have gained new ones.
Put myself through situations that would only frighten my younger self.
I found love and I threw it away although there is still a flicker of hope.
I’ve been pushed by those who want me to succeed.
I’ve been dragged down by those who wish to see me fall.
I’ve battled my own mind and won.
I keep fighting for the love I have lost.
For hope of a future.
I’m still fighting.
I’m still standing.
