Heart Break Haikus 7.0
(i) Crying
Wiping tears away
Does not a broken heart mend
Tears return again
(ii) Intent
The heart that's broken
Deliberately so
Heals very slowly
(iii) Suffering
When love is removed
By just one of the partners
The other suffers
(iv) Pain
The pain is greater
When there's infidelity
Love was never there
(v) Love not Good
Love does not exist
Where fear and violence exists
Exist without it
(vi) A Matter Of Trust
When your trust abused
The heart can only cry out
Broken asunder
(vii) Rejection
Stabbing rejection
No longer am I loved
I cried for so long

Ahh, again how true. It amazes me how so many scream love but their actions are what "pain" is described above. There's never room for selfishness in love.

I have a theory that the heart doesn't break, it stretches with every parting, taking that point of contact away with the other person. And the stretching is what causes us pain. It never returns to its original shape. We are forever stretched and aching. But these heartbreak haikus are just as perfectly apt applied to my theory. Your heart is a beautiful thing, David. Beyond measure. So many tight squeezies for you :-)
