Image for the poem Ragamuffin

Ragamuffin

She's easy with the ragged men
Sketching with an empty pen
The passers find her not all there
But turns out she's everywhere

She checks into a cardboard tent
Waiting for her latest gent
He provides more shelter from the storm
Bolts from the blue in jagged form

He takes her to  be his bride
The world still crouching right outside
Their arms hug harder than they know
The streets burn while they're singing low.
