You Don't Deserve My Rhymes
You said you’d call but I guess you forgot
Or maybe it’s your complex plot
To get me tied up in your beautiful knot
You’re a lovely idea I should have rethought
Maybe you’re right and I should have known
From all your emotions that never shown
Trying to win over a heart that was stone
It’s clear that when I was with you I was alone
I only wanted to shed your saddest tears
And fight away the worst of your fears
Take your hand and hold it for years
But the future isn’t as clear as it appears
I’ll move along without calling you mine
And the pain will pass with a little time
In the end I will turn out perfectly fine
But even then you won’t deserve my rhymes
