a deities beloved
i was left trembling
in the light
of your poetic glory
that strips me down
to nothing
all my barriers broken
a little girl
standing in a Goddess's light
i have to advert my gaze
or be burned to the ground
you wield the power
to build up or bring low
with the words
you string together so effortlessly
with a hypnotic sway of your hips
you mesmerize me
i want to lose myself in the depths
of the magic you spill
from god kissed lips
wrought from beauty & pain
you conjure words
from a lost world
& bring to memory
the days in the sun
where there was a you & i
when you speak
the ancients are heard
deities that whisper
to me in my sleep
uttering forgotten truths
& i write them
for you
to you
so you would know
who you are in this universe
in all universes
my beloved
