I feel so lucky
to have a gift like you
so fucking real
never coming fake
so many games
people like to play
I’m just grateful, I
gladly bowed out
together we settle down
building a home
never having enough time
in a day
sometimes feeling
like a walking contradiction
still, you always seem
to understand me
many hard nights
broken up into pieces
countless problems
yet, you always cheer me up
used to wish
for someone to end me
then you walked in
looking like a beautiful killer
(we are supernatural
in a world made for two)
passion drips from your lips
your looks alway set to stun
drinking and dancing
with you it’s perfection
candles set the mood
rose petals on the bed
and in these moments
no one else exists
(we are superstars
playing a duet for two)
hopelessly yearning
till I see your eyes
healed in unexplained ways
when you hold me tight
this understanding
to be understood
makes our love
worth so much more
(we are like gods
relentlessly fighting for two)
