CAN YOU SEE ME???
Can you see me?
And the dark circles surrounding my eyes,
Because I haven't slept completely through the night in years.
Can you see me?
And the hidden bruises and scratches inflicted on me by my very own child,
As I attempt to diffuse a meltdown.
Can you see me?
And the way I battle everyday so my child can get the therapies,
School supports and other things that will help her succeed in this judgmental world.
Can you see me?
And all of the judgmental stares as my child screams in the store,
Because everything is SO loud.
Can you see me?
And how many tears will no longer fall,
Because I've cried for so long.
Can you see me?
And the tremendous amount of pride,
And unconditional love I have for my child.
Will you see me?
And the time to fully understand AUTISM and my child.
FOR WHEN YOU DO,
YOU WILL TRULY SEE LIFE FROM A WHOLE NOTHER VIEW...

Yes, I DO SEE YOU and understand completely, for I have a grandson who suffers also.
Please know you are not alone and though your main concern is for your child, as it should be, you must also seek support for yourself which is necessary to assist you in your endeavors.

YES YOU ARE COMPLETELY RIGHT. AND I THANK U SO VERY MUCH! ITS NICE TO KNOW OTHERS THAT GO THROUGH THE STRUGGLES AND THEY UNDERSTAND AND UNDERSTAND MY CHILD.

Boo Boo, I see you!
For several years I worked as a Teacher's Aide and a Behavior Aide with children with Autism. As much time as I spent with them I still went home and knew they were not my own. So I will never really know what your life is like but my heart goes out to you. I would like to suggest a few poems I wrote with Autism in mind and especially with one little girl who changed my life. J

thank you for your insight I will defiantly check those out. and sometimes it is hard but I would not change it for nothing in the world. I love the most sweetest little girl ever and proud to be her mommy!

thank u and I believe autism children / adults are different unique beautiful loving amazing people. GOD made us all in his image and we are all beautiful children of GOD!!!

This is some very raw and deep ink. I really appreciated being able to read this and get a glimpse into your struggle as it was humbling for me. I hope you continue to write about it and that by putting your thoughts and emotions on paper you are able to accept this burden.

thank u so very much! not only do I get my feelings and thoughts out so that they don't take over my mind and drive me insane I'm also glad I can help anyone that has a child with autism help cope with it better and know they are not alone in this world that is so different from the rest or help others that tend to stare and judge us as autism parents understand that our children are very different but special and they are not bad or poorly managed but they are simply dealing with life differently cuz its the only way they know how to. their brain does not operate like most and that does not mean there is something bad wrong with them. they are wonderful sweet amazing little people and deserve love and affection probably more then most of us. handle them with love and care and try to understand them more and then people will see just how lovely they truly are... I'm glad I can help anyone that struggles with this as a parent and or a child or even an a adult with autism...

Fantastic poem, it's been a while since you posted it now, I do hope life has improved for both of ye.
I have no idea all the problems you and your daughter have faced .I have done some temporary work in a hospice for autistic children some years ago now.
That experience has made a huge impact on me, up until then I would have been a pretty close minded person, but working there with them, God, I fucking loved it.
None of them were similar.
I had to learn each of their personalities.
It changed me and my though process.
They are a gift, so special..

Thank u so very much and yes it has been a while but I got on today and posted another poem/ song! We have been doing great actually! She is blossoming into a wonderful smart young lady and she lights up my world! I’m so glad u have gotten 2 experience what it’s like getting 2 know such extraordinary children! They truly are the best! I write about just about everything! As my life has many different struggles and happy experiences! U should check out some of my others and see if u find some u might like!?
