6: 27:  To Become You

Excerpt 27 from Journal 6, ' Becoming My True Love '
   - From 'Journals To My True Love, Part 2'

My Love, when did we become one?
Was I awake to feel it?
Was it a flicker of a lamp that was you
   touching me?
When did I know of you truly, was it always?
Where did you hide when I was so visible,
where was your hand in mine?
Was it in a friend, a lover?
Who are you and whom do you become?
Are you becoming me as I recognize you?
Are you my voice amplified?
Are you my legs when I run?
Are you my hands when I pen?
Are you the ink on a blank page, visible only
   because the page is there?
Would the absence of your written story make you
   any less real?
Are you inside me when my heart is aroused?
When it bleeds, do you bleed also?
Do you ever feel what I do; do you reciprocate me?
Is the sound of the wind my only reciprocation and
does it sing with your voice?
Does my emptiness fill you up inside to become a life?
Do you live through me, and do I need you to live?
Can one life create and sustain another?
I know it can, for you have sustained me and thus
   you are real...
My heart flickers the lamp, answers the wind...
It is a spark and that is what you are...
I call you hope...
And I am the life that you were...
