Mganga
He slowly dons the demon mask
It's wood splintered and stained
The drums pounding as he chants
Words of revelation, words that bless
The bewitchments are at last dispersed
Devils driven from the town
Curses lifted and destroyed
As he receives his just reward
He shrugs on the panther's pelt
Takes a maiden of his choice
Shadows dancing as she comes
Matched by spirits giving voice.
