Trial Of Intentions
Opening Statements
He: Burning questions damage the brain
excessive heat energizes the cells
and activates thought processes!...
I, always, admit to a level of responsibility
that allows me to declare innocence... Always...
She: The square of my realism
equals the sum of the squares of my youthful exuberance
and my perennial stomach ache...
I am living proof that building character
is an actor's despair...
Cross Examination
He: All I ever wanted was the number that comes right after infinity...
She: All I ever wanted was a self I can call my own...
He: I created my own trail by dragging my tail!...
She: I was standing at a corner... Soliciting delusions to live by...
He: All my life I was dealt a bad hand... I learned to bluff!...
She: All my life the same mistake, like it is for the very first time..
He: I was looking for devils willing to deal...
She: I was looking for the 'all in' of your bluff...
Closing Arguments
He: (Of all my pauses, this must be the most meaningful...)
Iron wall around my subconscious!
I love living an unexamined life...
My inner voice has nothing more to add...
She: I'll take a confused and harsh stare
over any frozen smile
and I'll keep singing
How many selves must a woman construct
before you can call her herself?...
