Yup, we ARE Family...

 

To the family I love...
to this union, on this day
thanks to the almighty above

We gather to reconnect
lather,  in the comfort
of brothers n' sisters,
aunts, uncles, nieces
n' nephews

as all recollect, peruse,
as a whole, we introspect...

of those days gone by,
here in the present tense,
a future yet to realize...

The Wise woman,
Still... standin' tall,
the departed of they
who've been called...

Joyous, I pray
our day to be

grateful...for another
opportunity to see,
the smiles in the eyes
of the young,
hear the laughter
ease the ache of old

To feel the wisdom
course the veins, infused
with views of lessons
learned n' retold...

We are a family...
forever, however,
why ever, we came to be

my hope, is for us all
to be better tomorrow
in life, in soul, in mind
for us, for them, for life
by our maker's decree...

I pray for this...for me
for us, our entire family...
