Months have passed

The colors of fall emerging
They highlight the warmth of your eyes
And they contrast with mine
When the fireplace lights
Something inside burns alongside
You keep my heart bright
You keep me fighting ever harder
You're the reason I'm alive
And this is the start
Let us walk through this life
Remembering where it first began
