Image for the poem Taz

Can't help but watch her green eyes glow
Wide open at the break of day
High-tailing out to greet the sun
She's black lightning darting up a tree
Defiant of local crows and squirrels
A young queen poised along the highest branch
She hits the ground running
Dodges cars with precision timing
Only to escort her pet human home
She curls sweetly by her side and purrs:
"All will be well...
...just give it time...
...just look at me...
...I'm feline fine..."
