Cut the head off the baby giraffe
at the shoulders.
Wield the result like a club
against its mourning parents.
Break their legs and move on
to hanging the dogs.
Once the trees and washing lines
are full
ask your neighbour
'what is your favourite animal?'
Go out and find it,
find all of them.
Strangle the cats,
Shoot the horses
for not running fast enough,
break the necks of the swans,
freeze the hummingbird,
bleed the cattle dry,
pollute the sea.
Keep going
until only mankind is left
only then will you
be able to truly say
'I am bored.'

You make a point that is very close to my heart. It hit me hard; my cats are former strays who were dropped off at my house. It breaks my heart when I think about how we treat the other animals on this planet.

very true because if your bored help save the animals but when only man kind is left, there is no point in living because we can't see the beautiful creatures around us,
