Gone are the Days
Where once lay fullness and joy,
Now rests a great vacuous hole;
My Faith it aims to destroy,
As it slowly consumes my soul.
Gone are the days of love,
Numbness has stolen them away;
Sleep is all I think of,
As I struggle to get through the day.
His was the face of my world,
To his hands, my heart I did entrust;
But with his words we became unfurled,
And now we are an unbreathable dust.
Now rests a great vacuous hole;
My Faith it aims to destroy,
As it slowly consumes my soul.
Gone are the days of love,
Numbness has stolen them away;
Sleep is all I think of,
As I struggle to get through the day.
His was the face of my world,
To his hands, my heart I did entrust;
But with his words we became unfurled,
And now we are an unbreathable dust.
