If there is a God

If there is a God somewhere, I must beg him for resilience
The power to endure my anger's dissilience
A rage once long forgotten
The kind that turns you rotten
It churns within the bowels of my soul
An all consuming fire, out of my control

You'd best say your prayers
And beware soothsayers
For no one envies the end of your path

If there is a God somewhere, you should grovel and beg for mercy
Mercy after your death, for you will get none from me
The fate that you enforced
Will only be endorsed
By the Prince of Lies in hell
After all he's snatched another soul, thanks to the ringing of your knell

You'd best say your prayers
And beware soothsayers
For no one envies the end of your path
Your own selfish desires
Gave rise to your petty ire
And led you to kill an innocent out of wrath

I knew the man who was burned alive by these awful people. He made some unfortunate decisions, but he was a good man. These people killed a good man and the fact that they would dare think this is justified under any circumstance makes me want to violently expel my internal organs from my mouth. Not even the worst man on the planet deserves this, and my hatred for these people for what they did is beyond their comprehension.
