Living for moments in between
The moment I knew
I had found the one for me
was when we met inside that
small coffee nook on 22nd street.
You were the first to make a move
as you removed my dark sunglasses.
I hovered low in shadows and could
sense the warmth of your intentions.
When you offered me a vanilla latté
I fell inside your trance.
I adored watching you speak
and swear I could see your words
dribbled on the air
clear to me as any billboard.
You adjusted my eyes with
a brand new pair of glasses.
Now I can see all of you
and our future lattés shared
within the gaps of those
in-between moments
where worries fall away and become lost.
