Urban vistas burst with children
gathered round a geyser gushing,
warming sun guides city sidewalks
subway speeding, rat-race rushing.

Sprawling fields, virescent parks
blossom fervent, fresh intention,
sunning hues suffusing warmth
laurels yearning sipped attention.

Swirling scents of baked desserts
float on coughing traffic fumes,
sweeping streets greeting swarm
thoughts percolate as lily blooms.

Rushing streams flood city blocks
smoggy dreams polluting space,
pining eyes watch countdown clocks
reprieve of Springtime now embraced.
