Promise me not
The moon nor star
for neither is
attainable from afar
Promise me no
sheath of protection
to cloak the blade
that pierces heart
Don't paint me
a picture within a few
or thousands words
dare not call me art
For it's far too distant
this realm, away, beyond
the body's 'ode' too feeble
as death creeps assuredly
closer, to a mind innately
forgotten...long gone.
