An Empty Girl
An empty room
an empty girl,
sitting silently
on the floor
Sleeves rolled up
exposing skin,
she drags the blade
and presses in
The pain it brings
cannot compare,
the joy she feels
will soon be there
It's worth the scars
that will never heal,
for just a moment
not to feel.

The person I'm with used to be a cutter. It's a sad addiction, and horrible to witness. I think many people shy away from this subject, but I like when i see poetry like this. It's real and raw. Great work.
