In Lak'ech Ala K'in
i am you and you are me
in the end we all are energy
sprung from the same Source
United we stand, divided we fall
we all have one planet to share
the time has arrived to shift
from hatefulness to Love
from inequality to Equality
from intolerance to harmony
cause in the end we all are one
United we stand, divided we fall
as one we could heal the world
and make it a superior place
where we coexist in Peace
let’s honor our uniqueness
and embrace our differences
be the Change everyone needs
United we stand, divided we fall
the time has come to stand up
to unite and strive for peace
so that we can live as One
in the end we all are energy
sprung from the same Source
United we stand, divided we fall
we all have one planet to share
the time has arrived to shift
from hatefulness to Love
from inequality to Equality
from intolerance to harmony
cause in the end we all are one
United we stand, divided we fall
as one we could heal the world
and make it a superior place
where we coexist in Peace
let’s honor our uniqueness
and embrace our differences
be the Change everyone needs
United we stand, divided we fall
the time has come to stand up
to unite and strive for peace
so that we can live as One

May we live as one indeed. Being united is strong than any division, but people seem to thrive on this sense of 'us vs them' as if it gives them some sort of upper hand. Bless this poem so much.

Thank you so much for your comment, dear! I'm glad you enjoyed this one and you are right... it's the need for power that many people have that divides us...

I love that pic 😁. You should be a political speaker. In a world where everything is all about selfishness, words of coexisting should be heard.
Wonderful 🤗

Thank you so much for your comment, dear Crim! I know it's probably a utopia, but one can only dream... and strive to make at least a change... Love, Duende

I really like it when my poem brings music to someone's mind and Get Together is a lovely song! Did you check out the song that comes with the poem? It's a favorite of mine: instant happiness :-) Thank you so much for your comment, Tim

Keith Richard's still has it. It seemed like reggae mixed with Calypso infused with a little Spanish guitar... Really cool.

Every word it's own truth, together a beautiful tapestry you've woven. Saving this one for future reference. Thank you

I agree fully with your sentiments; nicely done. Love the picture. I guess "love one another ..." is about as political and sustainable as it gets; and countering 'divide and rule' starts in processing our own negative experiences.

Strength in numbers, Duende. This is a joy to read with its exhortation to peace. So much cynicism around and you maintain your optimism. Love this, but the title escapes me....

Thank you so much for your comment, Crowfly! I'm glad to hear you ejoyed this one :-) The title... it's a Mayan greating which simply means: I am you and you are me (basically a recognition that we are one)

Many people, ironically, add to the sum total of anger and frustration by claiming they are for peace, and they are mad as hell about it. Thank you for peacefully communicating these thoughts. There has been a net gain in world peace by your doing so.
