My greatest gift
my biggest obstacle
This mind of mine

It helps me find meaning in this mad
world
It takes me to places I never even knew exist
It reveals glory and beauty hidden beneath the so called
ordinary

This mind of mine
Drives me crazy searching for answers
Overthinks, overthinks and overthinks some more
Leads me to the darkest of places-
Death, suffering and suicide

The mind
A world on its own
A labyrinth I myself can't figure out
Its twists and turns constantly leaving me groping in the dark

How paradoxical is this mind of mine
One day I believe in love, peace and humanity
The day that follows brings along a plethora of doubts and perplexity
Is man really man, and beast indeed beast,
Or perchance man is the biggest beast of all?

The mind
A wave of greatness  
At the same time a wave that can drown me deep into the abyss

A tool
Helps me see the word in sharp color
Or a waepon
That sharply cuts and stabs me
Till all hope is gone

A war zone
Always battling which direction to take
