Reason (Parts 1 & 2)
Everyone has a reason, or a purpose for their life,
A reason for why they wake up in the morning, despite their pain and strife.
Everyone has a reason, a need or desire to belong,
But just because they justify their reason doesn't mean it isn't wrong.
Everyone has a reason, for the harm they inflict upon others,
The reason they give can seem just but the real truth it then covers.
(Reason (Part 2))
To reason: to justify an event or the power of the mind to think,
So by that logic, with the power of my mind I can thus begin to link.
I have found a reason, to work hard each day from now.
Each day I wake up and I'll try my best or I'll get by, somehow.
I have found a reason that's worth countless thoughts and endless nights,
A reason worth my pain, a reason worth all the fights.
Whether my reason is honest, whether my reason is true.
I'll continue to use my mind to reason, to bring endless happiness to you.
