I really enjoyed the form of this Mel. Nice to see a traditional rhyme. Because you have asked...  
 
Hope  
 
Even the darkest shadow,  
Eludes a hint of light.  
Within a blackened world,  
Occupied by fright.  
 
I would suggest expanding your vocabulary to ease away from more common words like "Within", "And", and "The". For example, in the above stanza, you use "Within" a blackened world...what if you used "Amid"? You'd retain the syllabic structure you've achieved as well as the alliteration.  
 
Even the darkest night,  
Warrants another day.  
And shields all the dimness,  
That appears in the way.  
 
What if, instead of using "And" and (no pun intended) "That", you used "Shielding" and "Appearing"?  
 
Even the darkest tunnel,  
Will introduce an end.  
After light is encountered,  
The dark shall not offend.  
 
What if, instead of "The", you said "Darkness"?  
 
Again, I really enjoyed this offering. I love the classic styles. I look forward to reading more!
