universal truths
I swallowed the moon
became pregnant with her
& gave birth to stars
that have mouths to speak
wonders of the universe
each numbered unto infinity
they have eyes
which bare witness
to all that has unfolded
from now until the beginning of time
keeping record
they know all
a shooting star
another lost soul to the cosmos
it trails blood as it falls
crashing into the Earth
a vision to behold this dead rock
the spirit of it held inside
do you know you hold the keys
to the universe round your neck?
angelic and demonic forces
hurling nature around
vying for your attention
what do you see as you traverse
do you see chaos and confusion
or beauty and order?
dark, light they each have their place

see it now in all its glory
today is a new day
may it open your mind

What we see is a matter of choice. "Some of us are looking at the stars" and you're one of them, Crim. I love the grandeur of this. "Dark, light, they each have their place" and we're all somewhere in between. A wise and eloquent write.
