Never Alone
childhood was a rough time
you had to grow up so young
found it hard to comprehend
so you cried alone in your room
forgot about family and making friends
sunk into a deep depression
school kids were so cruel
wondered why you were so quiet
you refused to react to their attacks
so their abuse got worse
spent your lunches in bathroom stalls
crying alone
the loneliness got so bad
that you tired to take your own life
afterwards you said
it was like no one even cared
I can see the hurt was building
some say it was kids being kids
you seen it as being powerless
I assure you
those days are over
take comfort in knowing
you are beyond accepted in my arms
safe and sound forever
and if I could go back in time
as a younger me
somehow we could meet up
I would have played with you
you had to grow up so young
found it hard to comprehend
so you cried alone in your room
forgot about family and making friends
sunk into a deep depression
school kids were so cruel
wondered why you were so quiet
you refused to react to their attacks
so their abuse got worse
spent your lunches in bathroom stalls
crying alone
the loneliness got so bad
that you tired to take your own life
afterwards you said
it was like no one even cared
I can see the hurt was building
some say it was kids being kids
you seen it as being powerless
I assure you
those days are over
take comfort in knowing
you are beyond accepted in my arms
safe and sound forever
and if I could go back in time
as a younger me
somehow we could meet up
I would have played with you
