A bridge to take her forward

Nothing was quite familiar; but the sweep
Of the lane holds such promises, she walks
Up to the door, holding dreams in her hand.
She'll glance and pause and lift a hand to keep
Her clothes on - she can't hide; each fibre talks:
The scarf tucked in the coat; the skirt; as planned
He would see her; well beaten, fucked, she'll leap
At every thrilling touch and find the faults
That he'll draw out; he'll use her well; he's scanned
Her resumé and knows which tastes to reap
And where to place her in the darkened vaults
And how to hold all back - his ideas spanned
Each bridge to take her forward - he can bring
A halt to the proceedings - then nothing....
