He Said
He said
He said he'd never leave her lonely
And she believed it.
Unaware of his hidden agenda...
Not realizing that he was nothing more
than a mere pretender.
She opened up everything to him,
including her legs.
He told her that it was over
When she just wished he said
"I love you" instead.
For weeks upon end
The memory just replayed in her head
Hating herself, for ever getting into his bed.
He said that he cared for her, so deeply..
But now she can't get a text back,
so she spends her time weepin'....
He said that she was the only one
even when she wasn't...
She knew the player type already
he had "bad bitches" by the dozen.
Selling them all the same dreams
That he sold her
He must do a lot of practicing
It was all so well rehearsed.
Now she's just wishing to put the last few months in reverse.
Because it would be so much easier
than to try and pretend it never happened..
Forcefully trying to make herself move on
from this heartbreak.
Mingling with men,
going on different dates.
But in the back of her mind, the thoughts of him,
she can't escape...
Comparing each and every man to him
Afraid that she'll be making the same mistake...
Until this one guy comes along, unexpectedly
I guess you can call it fate.
And they shared this connection
They had this chemistry..
With no doubts, they knew that it was meant to be.
"I love you, and I thank God, that you were meant for me."
