Life is a game
The dole cue keeps growing
And the depression is showing
On the faces of all
On hands and knees they crawl
Begging a crust
Beg they must
Foxes and crows eat better than most
While the fat cats toast
Toast their riches
And burn our bridges
No care for poor and needy
Just selfish and greedy
Them who prevail
In a world whose face shold be hidden behind a veil
These people have no shame
To them life is a game
And we're never going to win
Sit tight let the end begin
And the depression is showing
On the faces of all
On hands and knees they crawl
Begging a crust
Beg they must
Foxes and crows eat better than most
While the fat cats toast
Toast their riches
And burn our bridges
No care for poor and needy
Just selfish and greedy
Them who prevail
In a world whose face shold be hidden behind a veil
These people have no shame
To them life is a game
And we're never going to win
Sit tight let the end begin
