Washing the sweat off
with lukewarm water beating
Baptized in faint glory
The heat is a scold
I don't know what to do here
The cold is a blow
A nickle washes
Away any sins hidden
Church of redemption
Hearing the metal
Ringing out the paste water
Blessed by the one God

having read over this to try and peel back some of the layers
the first stanza took me towards trying to cleans yourself after something terrible you did or happened that was reinforced by the third stanza.
i see it is an observational so then i am inclined to lean towards a cleric who has enacted some form of abuse, the *nickel line i thought might be a nickel bag of some drug.
any way i guess i am saying i like this a lot and i will be reading it over to try decipher it.
