You think that your self-serving rendition
of a Deity is going to bring peace to the
world...

just listen to the words of your own Lord

"Do You think that I came to bring Peace;
I didn't come to bring Peace, but a Sword"

SO just go on and rest, be at ease while
everything around you comes to ruins
while you're own your knees

It never brought any good about; it's just
when your eyes were closed you couldn't
see anything as it all crashed around you

So just go on, keep on doing what you do;
read the stories in the book with pictures
and parables that parallel

They'll tell you of better things and times
to come where all is well; but that's in a
world not here, but somewhere out there

Read about the angels and quote all the
prophets, to know from where we've fallen
and what we've lost and what in time will
be forgotten

Then...

Just go on and rest and be at ease while
everything around you just comes to ruins
as you're down on your knees

Although it never brought about any good
it's just what you do to close your eyes to
everything that's crashing around you

Maybe in some future time when the new
civilizations emerged and they brush away
the dust and debris with a gentle hand and
ease so as not to disturb the integrity of
what's been discovered, they'll find you
still down on your knees...

Hands clasped, praying for a peace that
never came; only the answer from a
nuclear god that washed it all away

But in the meantime just continue to...
