The Art Of Becoming
Southern winds blow
I can feel the change in the air
The family is coming back together
once we were scattered to the winds
Connected and ever protected
deeply rooted
Guardians of the ether
kept us together through
a hidden underground network
With silent sighs and growing pains
we spread our wings
gathered the stars beneath them
Sent to different territories
the stream of thought crossed
solar pulses inflected
With genuine need to deflect negative energy
we become one

Sounds like a long awaited and overdue reunion. So many ways this can be read. I'm smiling at all of them. I bow before your pen, my lady :)

thank you for your interest JJ I believe there are unknown forces that bring us together for special purposes.. separated for a season and carefully guarded during that time.. then reunited we become one making each other stronger..

Nothing like going back to the place where we all once started ... Reminds me of siblings, daughters & sons once aching to leave [home] now yearning to come back ... It is a cycle in life - not of - something I believe we`ve all been through ... my Queen, a great grasp of sentiment & imagery in words that can be construed in any way ... love you, Lady ... ~Devlin.

Re. The Art Of Becoming
Thia reminds me of someone I know. Her family,
like the one in this poem had scattered over the
years to here and there, but are beginning, one by
one, family by family, to move closer to the where
they all came from. It is delightful to hear her talk
about it, as it is to read about this family in your poem,
whether it is your family or not, makes no difference.

This is such a beautiful and interesting write!
Open for several interpretations...
I especially loved the last two lines... "deflect negative energy" > that's what it's all about!
Love, Duende

This is excellent.. When I reflect on when I first came here. To what I am writing today. Your poem is precisely why I have stayed. Thank you, malady.

Family members can be so widely scattered that the bond erodes over time. The Crow clan certainly needs some closer ties. Without them it can be murder. Fine love poem Crim!
