When there's a will there's a way...as the saying goes. Just shows the need to survive can be so strong that it will battle the elements. It sure is a beauty Miss Chi, I already peeked at the photos you've posted and looking forward for more :)

It's so impressive, Rina. When the eye adjusts to the vastness of black ashes there will be so much more than blackness ... small fragile flowers of all colors, hardly reckognizable at first, but suddenly they catch your eye by their peeking out of nothingness. Gives me hope, Rina. I water them with tears.

GW, you framed it perfectly. Rebirth out of nothingness, speckling the dark fields with delicate colors.
Lifted my mood. Thank you.

Thank you, Elario :-). There are so many beautiful words. Poets (or writers or those who try to ink something beautiful) are entitled to fill their pages with the most beautiful thing manhood has developed: Language.

Where is this flower. I am used to seeing some kinds of flower growing out of mining spoil heaps and burned rubble in my country.

Hi Solomon! This small flower (less than 10 cm in height) uses to grow on Iceland, mostly on ash fields. But I've seen it also habitating humid rock niches and naked rocks as well as the barren highlands. Even in the spray of waterfalls they love to take foot. It's the Sea Campion (Silene uniflora). With the mining spoil heaps you describe exactly their preferred habitat. Thanks for your interest :-).

It's the small and rather plain things that often attract my attention :-). Although those little buds aren't really plain but survivors all the more.
Thanks a lot, Ahavati, for your lovely comment! xo

This little flower is indeed meant as a metaphor for survival asnd renewal, that's right. When everything was charred and you see new life peeking out of destruction, its magical. Thanks todski28 for your kind words :-).

When the earth is burned and all seems dark ... Mother Nature has an amazing way of rejuvenating herself ... even in the smallest of flowers ... simply Beautiful

Hi forever_young :-)! Yes, back again from a wonderful trip to pure nature and mostly remoteness. It was wonderfully mind-clearing and soothing. You'll get PM ... xoxo

Love this! Even without the pic the contrast between the ash and the flowers can be seen in your words.

Thank you so much for loving this, Lobo, and for your encouraging and kind words! Makes me glad that the poem alone would have sufficed :-). No, seriously, I know what you mean and I take your comment as an honor :-).

Perhaps especially where it's forbidden? The double entendre wasn't intended but with what you said you open up new vistas :-). Thank you so much, John!
