GEM
On judgement day
Watch watch at the window
So that you can see yourself coming
Humble humble your lips
Wipe cinnamon true your hair
Your sleepless eyes will sting
And your tongue grow silent silent
As a child be as curious
As a youth rebel
As an adult be of service
As an elder of understanding
And on judgement day
Judge only how you
Felt about your life
Not how others saw it
Let generations beget generations
And punk haired waves eat themselves
As they crush crush on hollowed rock
Brocade in memories
Levant and lament
Not
Yet let roaring cats purr
That this
Let roaring cats purr
That this is
The wedding of your death
Watch watch at the window
So that you can see yourself coming
Humble humble your lips
Wipe cinnamon true your hair
Your sleepless eyes will sting
And your tongue grow silent silent
As a child be as curious
As a youth rebel
As an adult be of service
As an elder of understanding
And on judgement day
Judge only how you
Felt about your life

Let generations beget generations
And punk haired waves eat themselves
As they crush crush on hollowed rock
Brocade in memories

That this
Let roaring cats purr
That this is
The wedding of your death

Omy sweet sweet gods..
This is titillation and amazing,
I am so humbled in your
presence.. . my words do fail
me often.
Let what truly matters prevail..
wow wow, this rocked my
core regions.

Judge only how you
Felt about your life
Not how others saw it ...
Few of us are this brave.
I love the feel of this, there's not sense of resignation as much as there's acceptance of what is and what's to come.
Bravo!

The first stanza is so powerful. The reflection of the self, also implying that we are indeed our own Gods, our own masters, authors of our own fates. The subtle repetition works well, because it drives home this peculiar need to emphasise a particular ideal. Interestingly, the title suggests something that is already pretty. I find that in direct contrast with the unfinished product of living. Perhaps the title suggests that we don't know what we really are.
Intriguing.
Thank you for the read.

we balance the paradox of our actions and our perfection
our fragility and our infinity - if we are of god (or totality of all things) and nothing else exists but god (or the totality of all things) then we are our judgement.
in your comments I'm getting to see certain themes - a real pleasure to find you on my pages
