Political Annihilation
Obscurity dripping throughout time
Its pools splashing soon after its fall
Long overlooked by every passerby
Leaving blissful unawareness for all
Looking at the wrong issues
Failing to explore the verities and actualities
Demanding the impossible
And forgetting the imperative; impracticalities
We lose when iniquitous desires overthrow us
Conclusions already at their preconception
We lose when the population lacks nous.
One step forward turns to two steps back; deterioration
The current ruin is felicitous
Brought upon by a dense, sluggish demise
And careless dealings
Which are now left with bitter, doleful cries
*It has been a while, and this poem is rather raw. The "I have just finished writing this and it is almost 4:00 A.M." kind of raw. I do plan to come back and reread this.

Thank you, Dearie! Always love hearing that you like what I write.
I like talking about politics, but I think many do not wish to keep a conversation on such a thing unbiased as much as possible (or perhaps I should say open minded). Either way, fun subject to talk about, but hard to find someone who would talk about all areas of it.
I am hoping to start writing more, but we shall see how it goes.

Jess, I absolutely love talking about politics, religion, social issues etc...*in person*, when the tone of the dialogue is more controlled, and around people who I know just how passionate and how strong their stance and convictions are, and can share deep conversation without becoming offended by other folks perceptions and views. But never over the internet. I've learned the hard way with trying to share your personal views and opinions with strangers. Some don't know how to agree to disagree with respect. So for the past five years, I stay clear of conversation involving such.
You however, have a calm and impartial aura about you. I'm sure you would be a great and encouraging debater. Anyhoot, looking forward to more of your intellectual and beautiful pieces...xo
