I miss your broad smile and nervous laughter
I just hope it has not gone thereafter.

It was that action that caught my eye,
I was feeling full of gloom, doom and fear.
It was your happy spirit that lend me your ear,
It seems your mission has waned and has said goodbye.

'Out of control and acting a little mad,
You gave me support like a true friend,
Now I am disappointed that it had to end,
Leaving me unbroken, but just a little sad.

I don't know if it is stress or my emotions raw,
You now seem to avoid my company and pathetic jokes
Maybe you have achieved just an elaborate hoax
that I have your concerns no more.

You were covering me, for a friendship's sake,
The sympathy and concern and afterwards a smile
Keep me persisting and going on for quite awhile
I just hope it was real and not just a little fake.
