War as a metaphor for life is another phony construct of mind to trap ourselves in stinky ego thinking.
Surrender, paradoxically, is more likely to lead to relative peace-of-mind.
It helps to stop "believing" any of these tasty metaphors that we "think" & latch onto, helps us understand reality. It's just piling up of our
illusion/delusion clutter

It's going to take me awhile to process your comment. It makes a lot of sense, and yet I don't know if I know how to live without the metaphors...how do I let go of them?  I guess letting go of our ego is the ultimate answer, but (at least for now), while I want very much to do that, seems like an impossibility.  Thank you so for your perspective!
