What if...
Jesus' death meant more
Than just knowing His name?
What if following Him meant treating
EVERYONE the same?
What if loving your neighbor means
Loving those with whom you disagree
At least as much as you love to give
That canned good every Christmas Eve.
What if Jesus knows
More than He chose
To reveal in the old Good Book?
What if you believed what you do,
With a little room for God, to
Show His love is bigger than you?
What if Jesus chose
To cleanse the souls of those
Who choose to trust His name;
Also those whose sin's not shame,
Simply the ignorance of His name?

What if God was a name with no face that we know, a test put in place for us to see. That left without someone to guide us, if we could take responsibility? What if Jesus had been placed as a story to know, one that would show if we knew, that no one was here to pay for our sins? No one except me and you? Would it not be more important to be good to eachother and to love our neighbors? Just a thought. Love and peace.
