The media is a joke.
I left law school for journalism when I discovered money bought the courts.
To my horror it was also purchasing the news. Such is the world.

The priorities of journalism are screwed up. Even "hard news" doesn't stick to the facts but sneaks in bias. And reporting on the kind of pathetic child you describe here would be minimal. It doesn't do much for circulation. It's a genuine shame that the news fails to draw more attention to homelessness and other ills. Thanks for addressing this in such a fine write.

Crowfly:)the fourth estate eh. Yes...the ' small mundane' news are not really sellers. So they go for ratings ..aim for big ones. They are like adverts. Sell the papers.
