So light my funeral pyre
Still writhing in agony
From The ember you left deep inside
From all the things that I tried to deny I feel
You sneer
and welcome my demise
Drained from my past
The morning rays bring nothing but ash
Even though you give me silence
I've embraced their cold caress
Sitting here in the pouring rain
Realizing nothing will ever be the same
Why should I even try
So light my funeral pyre
I'll pay the cost
Of all of me that was lost
Because I can't bear
All that I fear
So darling will you forget me
We will just have to wait and see
From The ember you left deep inside
From all the things that I tried to deny I feel
You sneer
and welcome my demise
Drained from my past
The morning rays bring nothing but ash
Even though you give me silence
I've embraced their cold caress
Sitting here in the pouring rain
Realizing nothing will ever be the same
Why should I even try
So light my funeral pyre
I'll pay the cost
Of all of me that was lost
Because I can't bear
All that I fear
So darling will you forget me
We will just have to wait and see
