An Orchid in the Midnight Garden

She sings my overture in a note only I can hear
With words as sweet as rancid venomous kisses to my ear
Drowning out the sunlit world, influences I might attune
And drag me down to the blackest dungeon to the coldest of dark rooms

Wetness is but foreplay for
The dripping nightmares that breach my dreams
With my slumbering creatures she idly waits
In funeral garbs, for me

With blooming orchids of blood soaked thorn she spreads her canopy wings
Her darkness blocks the buried sun from cleansing thee unclean

Together we'll sing of placid blasphemy and of sacrifice for ecstasy
Comatose I'll dream forever as my body begins to atrophy

This hellish siren in my mind
She's the succubus that's mine
We'll dance in the light of one thousand burning Angels
High on the ashes that rise

Out from whence the blackness crawled
My eyes became ablaze
Staring hard with curiosity
So brightly lit are the flames

The white light hasn't ripped through me
My soul remains unturned
The heavens promise grand ol wings
But the darkness sings my overture

When the daylight comes, sedate me further and sew shut my eyes
Inaugurate me once again
To the world of endless moonless Midnights where the cruelty orchids bloom
Let me dream until the dreaming has stopped then lay my body in the crop of the midnight gardens where the cruelty orchids bloom
