People Fight, Or So I’m Told

Apparently there are reasons people fight
I’ve just read a poem that lays that out
I look at how long we’ve been together
I’ve looked at how happy we always are
And I can't think of one good reason,
although:
There was that time
You wanted fucia pink
And I wanted plain magnolia
And then there was that time
You wanted Venetian blinds
And I wanted curtains
Then there was that time
You wanted dark wood
And I wanted pine
And there was that time
You wanted Ibiza
And I wanted Blackpool
You wanted long walks
I wanted the sofa
You wanted dancing
I wanted sitting
You wanted Bowie
I wanted Elgar
You wanted MacDonald’s
I wanted steak
You wanted to find yourself
I wanted to loose myself
You wanted children
I wanted dogs
You wanted celibacy
I just sat and wanted
You wanted your own way
It was easier to give you it
You wanted a divorce
Funnily enough so did I
