Perigee's Black Hole
A rash of stars
embosses the dark
with sputtering wicks.
One trips, plummets
toward the black carpet:
God striking a match,
lighting the white candle,
sage the heavens clean.
I calculate a wish under
a constellation's northern arc.
A slumbering dream cocooned
in limbic archive briefly stirs,
but is quickly magnetized
back into its REM state
by an imperceptive pull
into Perigee’s black hole.

Thank you for your support. You're very kind. NaPoWriMo is an intense exercise to say the least, and I'm just leaving it up to the universe to inspire me daily. Other than that...
Again, thank you.

I like the pulse of ' a constellations northern arc' . . which .neatly follows ' I calculate a wish under ' . . . . . . . . .' in limbic archive briefly stirs' another line with a pulse I am not a clinician but I believe this is a centre of our emotional system. A thoughtful poem.Ahavati

Ahavati,
its seems everyday the
UNI=verse sings a different song
to you and each song
you convey shifts me to yet
another mode...
you're a different sort of muse-ician
who uses a pen as her instrument..

Its beautiful, and you write it timeless.
And this "black carpet:" as the description
of the fabric of space? is awesome.

"A slumbering dream cocooned
in limbic archive briefly stirs, " how beautiful, as is the sum of this, caught up once again in the inescapable force of your poetry...

there's a bunch of colorful word selection in this. i like when negative words are used to describe something beautiful such as: rash / star.
nice surprise twisting the "one trips, plummets/ toward the black carpet" into a mind/dream journey.
also, excellent use to changing noun/adj into verb- "sage the heavens clean."
fun to re-re-read and see the turns the poem takes. plain enjoyable. thank you.
