Walking a Dog in Spring
Little paws click clack on dry pavement
And rustle through freshly thawed leaves
A Robin hopped across the way
Chirping happily
I mimicked his call as he stood and stared at me
Little nose sniffing, sensing the awakening
As I walked, I whistled
The Robin following
I spoke a language he understood
The cheerful tongue of Spring
ŠTanzen Lilly 4/6/16
And rustle through freshly thawed leaves
A Robin hopped across the way
Chirping happily
I mimicked his call as he stood and stared at me
Little nose sniffing, sensing the awakening
As I walked, I whistled
The Robin following
I spoke a language he understood
The cheerful tongue of Spring
ŠTanzen Lilly 4/6/16
