JUST NOT WITH ME

A restless night
     spent in a blur
I close my eyes
 to only see the eyes of her
        sullen
         disappointed
        on the verge of tear

        She wanted me close
        but I was nowhere near
  She blamed herself
            and I encouraged her guilt
     truth be all the walls
             I by myself built

I can't give
           what I don't have
she needs
           what I can't give
my heart turns cold
  in order for her love to live

                just not with me. ...
