There's always been this tug of war
between sex and intimacy
Intimacy is tough, it takes real commitment
Sex, a little easier, hit and run mind concepts
Ever since I started writing
there's been a war in my head
Bukowski vs. the rest of us
He was so good but cheap wine still
Trying always to find my groove
Perfecting what was never perfect

He was so good but cheap wine still
You MUST listen to him recite "Bluebird" to understand him fully.
Then every poem of his you read, despite how real, raw, or raunchy will make perfect sense.

really enjoyed this a lot - I avoid vexing about genres by writing about anything that pops into my head - from cross eyed cats to anarchy :-)

Often I do the same, would like to be more diciplined about my penning but often take the easy way out .....
